How do I get started?

Prior to integrating your ParkHub and AudienceView locations, you will first need to:
- Set up all of the lots that will need to be integrated in ParkHub Portal.

With the integration in place, you will be able to:
1. Scan and validate AudienceView passes on event day (print-at-home, mobile, and hard passes)
2. Receive instant confirmation of the status of that pass:
- Pass is valid
- Pass was already claimed
- Pass is invalid
- Pass is valid, but scanned in the wrong lot
3. View and export data from ParkHub Analytics that will show you:
- Who redeemed their pass
- Where it was redeemed
- When it was redeemed

Question 2

Do I have to wait until the integration is live to start issuing passes?

Accepted Answer

No - you may begin issuing passes at any point in the integration process. Once the integration configuration is complete and the integration is live, ParkHub will be able to validate all unredeemed previously issued passes.

Do I have to wait until the integration is live to start scanning passes?

Accepted Answer

No - you may start scanning passes at any point in the integration process. Before the integration is live, you can reject any passes that have already been redeemed. However, you will not be able to reject invalid passes.

Question 4

How will I see my data in ParkHub?

Accepted Answer

You will see in real time passes that are being scanned for your event, where they are being scanned, by whom they are being scanned by, and when the pass was scanned.

You can see these numbers in Suite Live under the “Prepaids” widget. The “Prepaids” widget will show you an overall count of AudienceView passes that have been scanned successfully for your event.

You can click into this widget to also see where the passes are sold and are being scanned broken out by lots.

Are Mobile QR Codes supported?

Yes - ParkHub’s Prime mPOS devices are able to scan and validate both printed and digital QR codes and barcodes.

Are Custom Printed passes/hang tags supported?

Accepted Answer

Parkhub’s Prime mPOS devices are able to scan and validate most standard barcode formats, including QR, Code 128, and interleaved 2-of-5.

If you’re working with a vendor to print passes on custom ticket/hang-tag stock, please reach out to your Client Success Manager before ordering the full print run and provide them with a proof. We’d be happy to test and verify compatibility on your behalf.

Question 7

Are multiple AudienceView venues supported?

Accepted Answer

Yes - if your operation leverages multiple venues for parking, they can all be integrated for scanning via your ParkHub devices.

Question 8

What options do I have for Access Control?

Accepted Answer

You can find your access control settings at https://admin.parkhub.com/user-options
With the integration in place, you will be able to reject passes that:
1. Have already been claimed
- Select “Duplicate barcodes will be rejected”
2. Are not valid at any of your locations
- Select “Invalid barcodes will be rejected”
3. Are not valid for the lot the pass was scanned in
- Select “Passes scanned in the wrong lot will be rejected”

When a pass is rejected for any of the reasons listed above, your attendant’s Prime device will display an error message that says why.

Question 9

What if I need to add a location to the integration?

Accepted Answer

If you need to add a lot or garage to your configuration:

1. Create the Lot in Portal at https://admin.parkhub.com/create/lot
2. Contact your Client Success Manager (with support@parkhub.com copied) and ask them to approve your newly created Lot. Be sure to mention that you need the Lot added to your integration configuration.
3. When you reach out, be sure to let your CSM know the AudienceView lot name that corresponds with your new lot.
4. It can take up 1-2 weeks for us to update the configuration. Your CSM will let you know once the new lot is ready to test.

Question 10

Are there any special considerations I need to be aware of?

If you need to create a new Lot in Portal that you will be validating passes in, please reach out to your CSM and ask to have it added to your AudienceView configuration.

Question 11

What should I do if something isn’t working correctly?

Accepted Answer

If you believe that the integration isn’t working correctly, (for example, if all passes are scanning as invalid) please reach out to ParkHub Support:

When you reach out, please provide the following info to your support rep:

- The location/parking operation you are calling from
- The name of the Event you are experiencing issues with
- The error message that you are seeing
- If possible, an example of a barcode from a pass that isn’t being accepted as expected
